Docomomo Israel is inviting you to participate in the international online debate event series “Context, Contrast, Continuity – Heritage Conservation and Urban Development”.

Context, Contrast, Continuity – Heritage Conservation and Urban Development
The international online debate event series “Context, Contrast, Continuity – Heritage Conservation and Urban Development” focuses on how the needs of conservation as well as development requirements can be managed in the urban context. How can historically developed urban fabrics/structures or singular buildings withstand the pressure for change from e.g. the real estate industry or housing demands? What can be done by the City’s administration, politicians and society to protect its cultural heritage? How can existing buildings be integrated into the ongoing development and possibly be adapted to the new standards of living of our era?  Researchers and professionals from Israel as well as Germany will address and discuss these and similar questions. The international online debate event series “Context, Contrast, Continuity – Heritage Conservation and Urban Development” is a cooperation of the Liebling Haus- White City Center (Tel Aviv Yafo), the Deutsches Architekturmuseum and the ernst-may-gesellschaft (Frankfurt am Main) and ICOMOS Deutschland.
