100 Years Bauhaus: Which interest do we take in Modern Movement today?

CALL FOR ABSTRACTS
docomomo Germany invites researchers and practitioners involved in the process of preservation, conservation, renovation or transformation of buildings, sites and neighbourhoods of the Modern Movement, to investigate on the theme: 100 Years Bauhaus: Which interest do we take in Modern Movement today? 

docomomo Germany is now accepting abstracts for the 16. Docomomo Germany Conference that will take place at the Akademie der Künste, Berlin, Deutschland, on March 01, 2019. 

Please submit abstracts in German and English language until April 30, 2018 (12 pm GMT), linked to one of the following five topics: 
• Register (on buildings, typologies or architects), 
• Urbanism+Landscape (on building ensembles, exterior spaces and policies) 
• Education+Theory (on programs, concepts and approaches) 
• Technology (on components, materials or techniques) 
• Interior Design (on interiors, finishings and atmospheres) 

Abstracts can be in English or German following the guidelines below. Thematic sessions will be defined after evaluating the abstracts. Selected conference papers will be published in the conference Proceedings. Please submit your abstract by email to: docomomo@bauhaus-dessau.de 

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
The submission must be done, in English or German, by filling the following required information:
5. Title (65 characters max) & Abstract (300 words max); Keywords (5 words); 
6. Topic selection (Urbanism+Landscape, Education+Theory, Technology or Interior Design). 
7. Authors information (Name, University/Company/Organization, Country); 
8. Biography (100 words max); please indicate your email and phone number here. 

• Abstracts should define the subject and summarise the argument to be presented in the proposed paper. The paper’s content should be the product of well-documented original research that is primarily analytical and interpretive rather than descriptive. 
• Papers may not have been previously published, nor presented in public. 
• Only ONE submission per author/co-author will be accepted, due to the personal presentation. 
• Each speaker is expected to pursue their own institutional or other support for registration and for travel and accommodation. docomomo Germany can not provide financial support. 

These guidelines will also be published on the website of docomomo Germany.
