"Fifty years after his death, the City of Architecture and Heritage pays tribute to Le Corbusier by organizing an exhibition on Chandigarh, the new capital of Punjab designed by architect after the proclamation of the independence of India.
The exhibition aims to present the city of Chandigarh as it is today, lived and appropriated by the Indians. This is to show the city in its daily, from the present time, observe how its people live the Corbusean modernity, and to report on how the Indians have assimilated, diverted or not. The exhibition praised the inventive capacity of its inhabitants. It also questions the initial project of Le Corbusier and his vision of the modern city."
