The crisis of 1929 and national policies that promoted import substitution promoted the growth of various industries both in Argentina and in the rest of Latin America. In this framework, design emerges as the opportunity to add value to the newly created products that threw light on industry market. Arch. Martha Levisman was a privileged witness of that creative explosion and, over time and intensive research, became dedicated to collecting, studying and documenting this unprecedented movement through materials from 12 original Argentinian archives.
