"Conversation # 2
June 26, Theme:O Habitat da Modernidade [the Habitat of Modernity], 18h00, Casa-Atelier José Marques da Silva
With: Bruno Gil, Edite Rosa, Jorge Figueira, Maria Helena Maia and Pedro Baía

These conversations are intended as a contribution to a critical reflection on two central themes in the course of Octávio Lixa Filgueiras and Portuguese Architecture: the social function of the architect and the habitat of modernity.

In 1962, Octavio Lixa Filgueiras published the thesis that served as a basis for proof of aggregation to the School of Fine Arts of Porto, From the social function of the architect: to a theory of responsibility in a time of crossroads. More than two decades later, in 1985, the second edition was launched, with a preface by Pedro Vieira de Almeida."

This is the second conversation about the ideas of Octavio Lixa Figueiras, and is free and open to the public, space limited.
