Exhibition: Making More of Modernism
14th June-1st September, Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios, London, UK
DATE: 14/6/2017
"Modernism was a hugely influential movement which continues to impact our world today. But the ideas grew from a very different global context than the one we live in today. So how can the tenets of modernism be relevant now and, more specifically, what are we preserving when we refurbish and renew modernist buildings? What challenges do designers face in turning these buildings into ´modern´ useful buildings?

The exhibition introduces three important schemes:

The ambitious refurbishment of London’s Southbank Centre, the refurbishment and extension of the Richmond Building for the University of Bristol, and the transformation of a purpose-built 10-storey modernist laboratory tower, at the University of Edinburgh´s School of Biological Sciences."
