27 Oscar Niemeyer´s Buildings become National Historical Patrimony in Brazil
The Brazilian Ministry of Culture honors works of Oscar Niemeyer

"The Ministry of Culture has determined the tipping of 27 public works designed by the architect and urban planners Oscar Niemeyer (1907-2012). The Planalto Palace, the Alvorada Palace, the National Congress, the Federal Supreme Court, the Itamaraty, the Museum of Contemporary Art in Niterói, the Rio de Janeiro Sambadrome, the Ibirapuera Park Complex In São Paulo and the Tea House in Belo Horizonte. Now the preservation of all these buildings is in charge of the Institute of National Historical and Artistic Heritage (Iphan). The decision of the Ministry of Culture ratifies the importance of Oscar Niemeyer for architecture."
