DATE: 25/3/2017
"Organized a tribute meeting on Saturday 25th March at 5pm at the French Institute in Casablanca. On the occasion of the centenary of the birth of the architect Jean-François Zevaco, MAMMA. And made in A. o.
Various witnesses and witnesses will compose the panel of the evening to illuminate the man and his genius.

From then on, it will be a question of unveiling and understanding the man and the artist Jean-François Zevaco in order to better understand his architectural work. For this, Jean-Louis Cohen, architect and historian of architecture, will place this architecture in the international and national context. We will discuss the complexity of this work, which is described as "brutalist" as much as "lyrical". Dominique and Charles Teboul, daughter and son-in-law of the architect Zevaco, will describe the universe of man. This testimony will bathe us in its intellectual and artistic sphere and will reveal the essence of its projects. To understand the influence that Jean-François Zevaco had on the generations of architects who followed him, Driss Kettani, a young Casablancan architect, will tell us the inspiration that the achievements brought him when he visited them one after the other other. Numerous other testimonials, friends, collaborators, partners, contractors, maitres d´ouvrage will punctuate the evening.

In conclusion, and as a follow-up to the sketch contest launched with the students, the three winners will be announced and rewarded at the end of this meeting. The ten best sketches will be exhibited during this meeting in the gallery located on the floor of the Cultural Institute.

This tribute to Jean-François Zevaco will be extended by an exhibition of the works of the architect at the Villa Sami Suissa, called "Zevaco". The Maison Paul will meet us on April 20 in the famous villa to discover this second event."
