Exhibition: Ciudad Duhart
21 November 2016, Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, Santiago de Chile, Chile
Duhart City has been the result of a hypothesis on the relationship between architecture and urbanism. It proposes an interpretation of the architectures invented and projected by Emilio Duhart as configurators of a possible idea of civic and urban form, imagined by himself.
The reunion of a restricted number of works and projects made with other architects, as well as with other professors and students. The analytical drawings-graphic interpretations-show the conceptions of new urbanity in each case. The verification of the possibilities of repetition of these projects on the basis of the Spanish foundation grid in America appears as a theoretical model capable of accounting for a project interpretation underlying each case, which was both architectural and urban.
