Dear friends, Thanks to your effort and support, 2021 was definitely a very challenging year due to the COVID-19 Pandemic that we face since 2020. Having kept working hard, even in distance Online or by Zoom, we were able: – to hold the 16th International Docomomo Conference, Tokyo, Japan 2020+1, the first virtual International Docomomo Conference, along with the first online Docomomo workshop – oDOMOs; – to launch the Docomomo Rehabilitation Award with an online ceremony, being a publication on work; – along keeping the presence at several events and meetings mainly online and launching the 2 annual Docomomo Journals…

It is with deep sadness that Docomomo International knew that the Swiss architect Aurelio Galfetti passed away last 5th December 2021. Docomomo International wishes to convey the most sincere condolences at the passing of the renowned architect and urban designer, who founder of the Mendrisio Academy of Architecture, Aurelio Galfetti to his family and friends. Docomomo International is trilled to share that a call for papers was launched for the Erich-Mendelsohn-Symposium, taking place next March 2022 (21st and 22nd March) in Berlin.
