Awards: X Bienal Iberoamericana de Arquitectura y Urbanismo (BIAU)
Eduardo Souto de Moura
The Portuguese architect Eduardo Souto de Moura has been awarded by the jury of the X Bienal Iberoamericana de Arquitectura y Urbanismo (BIAU).
Also, other 26 works, 6 books, two periodicals and a collection of videos, were awarded.
The international jury awards Souto de Moura from among 21 other nominations in order to recognize a work "full of emotion" and "the important contribution of his teaching in universities in different countries".
Souto de Moura establishes ample and innovative relationships between different scales, places and times, testing materials and structures, which are expressed through a complete language of emotion.
The Bienal Iberoamericana de Arquitectura y Urbanismo is an initiative of the Ministry of Development of the Government of Spain, which promotes the exchange of experiences and the debate on major issues among architects and urban planners of Latin American countries.
The X Bienal Iberoamericana de Arquitectura y Urbanismo will be held from 4th to 8th July 2016, in São Paulo, Brazil, under the theme Desplazamientos / Deslocamientos.
