International Specialist Committee on Education+Theory (ISC/E+T)

The ISC/Education+Theory is presently being restructured. However, several significant activities have recently taken place under its auspices. The first Docomomo International student workshop was organized in Ataköy, Istanbul in 2006, during the 9th International Docomomo conference; it was followed by the second Docomomo workshop, focused on the Lijnbaan, Rotterdam, in 2008 (at the 10th International Docomomo conference). More than 150 students participated in these two workshops.

The third workshop will take place at the Xochimilco Campus of the Metropolitan University, UAM in Mexico in August 2010 (11th Docomomo conference).

Other initiatives of ISC/E+T have included the following: the ‘Reworking Modern Movement’ workshop (a EU initiative in cooperation with Docomomo International); a contribution to the Marc2000 course in Finland; and international Iccrom courses on modern movement architecture.
